Made Satria Wibawa
Introduction
Made is a PhD student at the Tissue Image Analytics (TIA) CentreLink opens in a new window in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Warwick. He is supervised by Professor Nasir RajpootLink opens in a new window and co-supervised by Professor Lawrence YoungLink opens in a new window.
His research focuses on developing deep learning and machine learning models for cancer prognosis and diagnosis, with a particular interest in integrating visual and clinical data to support precision medicine. He is currently working on nasopharyngeal carcinoma, a rare type of head and neck cancer that is endemic to the Southeast Asian region. He has been collaborating with colleagues from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center to develop models for oncogenic protein prediction, immune profiling, and prognostic modelling in NPC.
His broader research interests include:
- Computational pathology
- Weakly supervised learning
- Multiple instance learning
- Survival analysis and biomarker discovery
- Graph neural networks
