Rucha Sawlekar

I joined the School of Engineering eight months ago having gained a Masters of Technology (M.Tech.) in Electrical Engineering (specialising in Control Systems) from the University of Mumbai (India). On completing my Masters degree, I worked as a lecturer for a year at the University.

I'm undertaking research which will hopefully allow me to realise biologically implementable controllers using control framework for various application fields.

I decided to come to Warwick for a new and exciting learning experience in an international institute and undertake research in a newly emerging field. I have found studying here very encouraging and excellent. When I graduate I want to enter the field of research in future and certain that University of Warwick will definitely widen my scope for it.

The staff at the School of Engineering have offered innovative and futuristic projects and have been very supportive with my research in all aspects. I find my supervisor and colleagues are really inspiring.

I would advise other students to definitely consider this university for the perfect study and research platform. As a student it is a marvellous and exciting experience where you can balance study with several events happening in Warwick - it’s worth it!
