Day Tour 1: Monday 3rd September
Full day tour - Warwick Castle and Stratford Upon Avon
For this highly recommended trip a private coach will collect you from the International Convention Centre and transfer you to the first visit of the day.
Warwick Castle is one of England’s finest castles, perched above the River Avon, its majesty and splendor is breathtaking. As you walk across the drawbridge and through the portcullis you enter the Medieval World.
On arrival, your very own costumed guide will take everyone on a 1 hour tour of the State Rooms.
Following this tour, you can enjoy some free time in the castle grounds, maybe catch an outdoor show (performance details to be confirmed) before a 2-course lunch with a soft drink is served in the Coach House.
The second visit is to Stratford upon Avon, probably one of the UK’s most well recognized and beautiful towns, set on the banks of the River Avon it offers visitors a wealth of incredible sights and experiences.
Your visit will include a short walking tour around the town, fully escorted by the guide who will point out interesting facts and you will have the chance to take photos of some beautiful and historical half-timbered houses, the walking tour will include a visit to Holy Trinity Church, so that you can see the grave of William Shakespeare.
You will also visit Shakespeare’s birthplace, an incredible experience to actually walk in the steps of Shakespeare. The tour of the house lasts approximately 30-40 minutes. The tour of the house is self guided, but there are guides around the house who will talk to the visitors and answer any questions you may have. There are also actors who perform in the garden and will take requests if anyone has a favourite speech or sonnet they wish to hear!
After this visit, there will be free time so that you can visit some of the unique shops in the town, or perhaps a visit to one of the many tea shops.
