ESMO team exhibit at Cheltenham Science Festival
GE Aviation, principal partners of the 2011 Times Cheltenham Science Festival, invited the team to present a stall at the festival‘s main event in the Town Hall. We spent a valuable two days talking to members of the public and science professionals, as well as attempting to show the many schoolchildren who visited what kind of thing it‘s possible to get involved with when you take an engineering degree!
Highlights of the festival included interesting talks from medical professor Robert Winston and physicist Brian Cox. The ESMO team were able to rub shoulders with some of the biggest names in the scientific community. This was a fantastic opportunity to spread the word about our project amongst like-minded people. The team would like to thank GE for the opportunity and hope to make a repeat appearance next year.
