Research Interests

Stana works in the research area of vibration serviceability of civil engineering structures. She utilises a combined experimental and numerical approach to improve our understanding of human behaviour and human-induced dynamic loading within civil infrastructure, as well interaction between structures and humans. She also researches structural behaviour under dynamic excitation. This includes modal testing, vibration monitoring, system identification and damage detection. Typical structures of interest are bridges, floors and stadia. She built the Warwick Bridge in 2012 - a unique laboratory facility for studies of structural performance and human-structure interaction. More information about her research can be found within the Humans & Structures Laboratory webpages.

Stana graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Belgrade, Serbia, where she also worked for three years as a Lecturer. She then completed her PhD studies in the area of vibration serviceability of civil engineering structures at Sheffield University. After a post-doctoral post at the same University, she joined the School of Engineering at the University of Warwick in June 2009.
