Investigation Into The Effect Of A Rear Wing Proposal On A F1 Car
Week 20 Progress Presentation
About:
86% of people that have taken the 2006 FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile) survey stated that the one factor that would make Formula 1 racing more exciting is to increase the amount of overtaking. The FIA’s proposed response to this has been the design of a new wing, called the CDG (Centreline Downwash Generating) Wing (a split rear wing); the aim of which to reduce the area of turbulence (dirty air) behind the car. Enabling the following car to get closer and capitalise with the effect of increased down force: enhancing the opportunity for overtaking.
