A launch event for the HetSys CDT took place on campus from 9th-10th September 2019. It was attended by a wide range of HetSys team members, partners and collaborators. Sessions included an overview of plans for the new centre including the projects of the incoming PhD students, highlight talks from partners, and a co-creation session to design future projects. Thanks to all who took part!

EPSRC have announced funding for a Centre for Doctoral Training in Modelling of Heterogeneous Systems at the University of Warwick. HetSys involves academics from the departments of Physics, Engineering, Chemistry and Mathematics and the Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG) and is now recruiting its first cohort of students to start in October 2019. The University of Warwick has issused a press release.

The first batch of HetSys PhD projects for an October 2019 start have been announced and are now open for applications. The computional modelling and simulation projects span a range of application themes including novel electronic devices, high performance alloys and smart nanofluidic interfaces.
