We are always interested in hearing from motivated candidates with a background and interest in Synthetic Biology, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Structural Biology or related fields.

Ph.D Vacancies (2018 or 2019 START)

We will have multiple vacancies for 2018 start, with Midlands Integrative Biosciences Training Partnership, SynBio CDT, MRC Doctoral Training Partnership etc. The PhD projects are highly interdisciplinary. The PhD application form could be submitted via School of Life Sciences or Department of Chemistry, The University of Warwick

We have chemists and biologists, so candidates from any science background are welcome. Contact us with your CV if you want more information

Overseas (non UK/EU) Student Opportunities

Overseas students with outstanding academic records (typically graduating from a nationally leading institution are welcome. The candidate who is among the top 5% of students in their class and with one or more publications) who would be interested in applying for a Chancellors lnternational Scholarship to carry out PhD studies should send their CV for consideration.

If you have your own funding, and wish to work with us, please send a 2 page CV (MAX) including grades and research experience.

Masters and DTC Projects

Students from Chemistry and Life Sciences could apply directly from their respective project lists (please email if further information is required)

Undergraduate Summer Placements

Vacancies are for Summer 2019. Excellent students (must have at least a 2:1, preferably 1st) should contact us explaining motivation and to discuss potential projects as soon as possible. Each year we hope to have at least 1 or 2 vacancies for Warwick students (in either year 2 or year 3, in any discipline) to come and work in the labs for 8-10 weeks during summer. This a great opportunity to improve your CV and to get paid at the same time. There is funding available via the Undergraduate Research Scholarship Scheme and other sources yearly.
