During my Ph.D., I had interest in using microbiology and bioinformatics to gain new insights into the dissemination of pathogens and antimicrobial resistance genes into the environment and more specifically to develop an increased understanding of beta-lactam resistance gene expression.
I am currently working as a post-doctoral research fellow with Prof. E. Wellington on the MRC funded project; "Quantifying the transmission routes of gastroenteritis in Pakistan and developing targeted intervention. I am involved in the development of the molecular biology protocols.
