What is your current job or area of study?

Sustainability Reporting Analyst at Dentsu. As a Sustainability Reporting Analyst, I manage the collection, compilation, analysis, and assurance of Scope 1-3 emissions data for Dentsu’s global offices. I collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting using Salesforce Net Zero Cloud and Excel. I also support CSRD reporting preparation for FY25, focusing on value chain and vendor mapping, audits, and other sustainability reporting activities.

Why did you choose your degree subject and why did you choose Warwick?

This degree and subject matter aligned with my career aspirations of improving agricultural practices and creating a more sustainable supply chain within fashion and food. I ultimately aspire to work in sustainability strategy within food or fashion and when I found this course, it aligned perfectly. After speaking with Hendrik Schaefer on the phone and having a one-on-one tour with Rob Lillywhite (who ended up being my project supervisor), I was sold on Warwick.

Tell us about your favourite memory of your degree

My favourite memory was being able to work with a prolific NGO, Better Cotton Initiative, for my project to drive real-world, tangible change for cotton farmers across the United States.

How did you fill your time outside of your studies?

I played for the Men's First Lacrosse team, participating in both BUCs and SEMLA on Wednesdays and Sundays, respectively.

Tell us about what happened after graduation. How did you get to your current role?

I completed my degree in August following the submission of my Research Project. I interviewed with a number of firms, but in mid-September, I ran a quick process with Dentsu's Sustainability Reporting team and was ultimately offered a 6-month internship along with two other recent graduates from other Universities.

What’s your proudest achievement so far?

I had previously attempted a similar Master's degree in 2019/20 but withdrew due to the pandemic's impact on my mental health. Being able to return to university and not only complete my degree but achieve a Distinction, is by far my proudest achievement as I proved to myself that I am capable of it!
