Alberto Cassar

I am a third-year PhD student carrying out research on certain probability theory fields under the supervision of Dr. Stefan Adams.

My research interests lie in convex and variational analysis as well as statistical mechanics, yet I am particularly interested in large deviation theory and random field theory. Throughout the past three years, I have been investigating pinning and wetting phenomena within a probabilistic framework. Furthermore, I have been addressing open questions and problems concerning the large deviation principle and concentation of measure for the gradient and Laplacian models.
