We shall present two (hopefully new) observations on the relation between
modules for a simple algebraic group $G$ and its Lie algebra $\mathfrak g$.
One can always differentiate a module (restrict from $G$ to $\mathfrak g$)
but it is much more intriguing when one can integrate a module 
(extend from $\mathfrak g$ to $G$).
