Open Days

18th March 2021: Please be aware that the CDT is in the process of interviewing and allocating our funded places for 2021 entry. Any applications made from this point forward are very unlikely to receive funding. Applications from self-funding students are still being accepted.

There will be no further Open Days in the 2020/2021 academic year.

Register to attend an Open Day

Come and visit us if you are interested in:

  • Mathematics of Systems MSc/PhD programme or Complexity Science PhD
  • Multidisciplinary research and training

Open Days are held specifically for potential and current applicants to the Centre in the Autumn and Spring terms.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, CDT Open Days will take place virtually until further notice.

1000-1045 Welcome from the Director of the CDT
1100-1130 Q & A
1200-1300 Presentations from current PhD students
1315 onwards Interviews*

*Prospective students who have applied at least three weeks before the Open Day may be asked to attend an online interview of approximately 30 minutes. We will want to check on the level of your mathematics, hear about your academic interests (particularly any project work) to date, your motivation for our programme, and your future goals.

You can also attend a general University Postgraduate Open Day online which covers general topics like applying to Warwick, accommodation, and careers.

Please also note that due to sponsor constraints the Centre for Complexity Science is unable to cover travel or accommodation expenses for candidates who travel to the centre for an Open Day or interview.
