UK and Ireland Endometriosis Network Meeting 2026

The University of Warwick hosted the UK and Ireland Endometriosis Network Meeting on 1–2 September, welcoming 100 registered delegates from across the UK and Ireland - the Network’s largest meeting to date. The two-day meeting was held at the Interdisciplinary Biomedical Research Building (IBRB), with delegates also coming together for dinner at Scarman on the first evening.

Chaired by Professor Erin Greaves, the meeting brought together a diverse mix of researchers, clinicians, healthcare professionals, patient advocates and people with lived experience of endometriosis. The programme reflected the interdisciplinary nature of the Network, with talks spanning fundamental and translational biology, diagnostics, drug discovery, chronic pelvic pain, patient experience and the delivery of endometriosis care across the UK and Ireland.

The meeting also strongly reflected Warwick’s wider ambitions in women’s health. Endometriosis remains an area of significant unmet need, and improving outcomes requires expertise from across disciplines to come together.

Warwick’s Professor Jan Brosens opened the scientific programme with a keynote on the biological reasons why medical research continues to fail women. Across the two days, this was followed by contributions from researchers and healthcare professionals from throughout the UK and Ireland, alongside patient and advocacy organisations.

Delegates shared extremely positive feedback and there was a real sense of enthusiasm for the growing UK and Ireland endometriosis community.

A huge thank you goes to Jas Bains for the organisation of the meeting, as well as to all of the speakers, session chairs, delegates and colleagues who helped make the two days such a success.
