1.1 Booking system
Booking of the workstations runs through Google Calendars system. In order to book users must provide an account, which would allow them to gain access to Google Calendars (e.g. Google account).
1.2 Access to booking system
BCB Imaging Manager or any of BCB PIs can grant access to booking system.
1.3 Booking rules
Booking is allowed only for current and following weeks.
Booking quota applies to working hours 8 am ~ 6 pm Mon~Fri only. Booking of overnight hours (6 pm ~ 8 am), weekends and holidays is unlimited.
Booking quota: Each user is allowed to book up to 6×half-day sessions per workstation per week (e.g. 3 full working days).
Advance booking: For following week each user is allowed to book up to 4×half-day sessions per workstation.
Booking beyond the quota: Booking beyond the booking quota is allowed but have to be indicated as “provisional”. User should give away the “provisional” booking if claimed by user who did not use up the booking quota yet.
2 Data storage policy
BCB workstations have zero data storage policy. That means that no user data should be left on the workstation drive after the end of the session.
Such a policy is implemented to assure that workstations are ready to be used in the beginning of any user’s booking. Leftover data is very often hard to spot and backup leading to massive delays and inability of users to process their data.
Please keep in mind that in case of critical shortage of storage space the Division reserves the right to delete any leftover data without prior warning.

Q: Who can get access to the workstations?
A: Any member of BCB division.
Q: How can I book the workstation?
A: Booking system runs in Google Calendars. To gain access, please send your Google account to BCB Imaging Manager. Once your account is added to the associated calendar you will be able to book and see other user’s bookings.
Q: What software is installed?
A: See § 4.1 “Installed software”.
Q: Can I install my own software?
A: Normally we don’t allow users to install/modify any software. Nevertheless, the admin access could be granted in cases when it is absolutely necessary. Please request admin access from BCB Imaging Manager.
Q: Can other software be installed?
