‘Primary Care Research and Audit in Coventry and Warwickshire’

A half day symposium at Westwood Teaching Centre, University of Warwick

From noon on the 11th July 2019

An opportunity to present at a local level and to hear about everyday primary care research and how you can get involved. Please apply for study leave now!

This event is aimed at undergraduate medical students with an interest in General Practice, GP trainees and GPs that are research active or have an interest in research. The draft programme is now available and will be updated regularly before the event.

In addition this symposium will host (in parallel) the NIHR CRN primary care annual regional meeting for Coventry and Warwickshire practices.

Abstract Deadlines - June 3rd for oral and poster presentations. A poster/oral presentation is guaranteed.

Prizes will be available for best poster and best oral presentation in student and VTS categories.

Keynote speakers will include:

  • Dr Helen Tyrrell - GP research champion, Coventry and Rugby CCG
  • Dr Helen Atherton - Associate Professor in UAPC, leading research projects on Digital Health in General Practice
  • Dr Rachel Spencer - Coventry GP and winner of the Royal College of General Practitioners First5® Award 2018
  • Prof Jeremy Dale - Headlining current research in the Unit of Academic Primary Care
