Year 1 Formative OSCE Allocations

Important information:

The Formative OSCE will take place at the Junction on Central Campus on Wednesday 13th December - Campus MapLink opens in a new windowLink opens in a new window

Parking will be available at any of the car parks on Central Campus – please note it is the student’s responsibility to take traffic conditions into account and pay any parking charges

The time published at the bottom of this page is your arrival time. Your circuit will last 1hr 12mins (including rest breaks).

The start times may be subject to slight change dependent on any issues that arise on the day, so please do bear with us if you are subject to any delay. To reduce this possibility, please arrive at your advertised arrival time.

Please do not bring bulky belongings to the venue as we have no storage space for bags. Small, clear bags will be provided to keep car keys and mobile phones safe during your exam. Phones and other electronic devices should not be on your person during the exam session.

The examiner is responsible for running the station to time, but if you would like to be able to monitor the time, an analogue fob watch is recommended.

From this point onwards, we are unable to accommodate swaps or changes to these OSCE allocations under any circumstances.

Waiting time:

The wait prior to your circuit starting will hopefully be no more than 30mins. Please ensure you double check your arrival time, failure to attend at the specific time may result in you being unable to take part in the formative.

Please feel free to bring snacks with you for your waiting time, drinks and very light refreshments will also be provided. There will be no facilities to refrigerate or heat food. You can take water with you to your circuit, but food must not be taken into the stations. You may also wish to bring something to keep you occupied (revision materials, puzzle book, novel etc) during the waiting time.

Smart devices (e.g. phones/smart watches) are strictly prohibited at all times, there will be bags & boxes to store them when you arrive.

Once your circuit is finished and you have collected your belongings, you will be free to leave.

If for any reason you are late or not able to attend, please email mbchb.exams@warwick.ac.uk ASAP so that we are aware.

OSCE Student Briefing:

A virtual student briefing that we strongly recommend you attend will be held via Teams on Tuesday 11th December at 11am. This will be straight after Helen's Patient of The Week meeting and will be hosted by Lindsay Muscroft and Vinod Patel.

The briefing can be accessed via this link: Formative OSCE BriefingLink opens in a new window
This link is also available through your Block 2 Week 5 Moodle SpaceLink opens in a new window

The meeting will be recorded so you will be able to access it later if you cannot join live for any reason.

We look forward to seeing you all on the 13th!
