Graduate Entry Medicine 2024-25 website: Dedicated information on funding for MBChB 2024 entry students.

The Student Funding and Finance team will also be presenting on funding at the MBChB Offer holders day.

MBChB Bursary Awards Scheme

The WPH Charitable Trust, Coventry Medical Society and Warwick Medical School are supporting a competitive bursary scheme for WMS MBChB students. Ten awards of £3,000 are available including our H Singh enablement bursary. These awards are intended to support students from widening participation backgrounds or where unexpected or exceptional student hardship is anticipated.

The Warwick Bursary 2024-25

The Warwick Bursary is awarded based on household income, as assessed by Student Finance England (SFE), to eligible full-time home undergraduate students with a household income of £35,000 or under. Eligible students can receive up to £2,000 paid directly to their bank account in termly instalments. Medical students who meet all of the eligibility criteria can receive the Warwick Bursary in their first year of study.

Eligible students who meet further criteria (such as students in receipt of Disabled Students' Allowance) can also receive the £1,000 Additional Bursary(on top of their main Warwick Bursary) paid directly to their bank account in term 2.

Kidderminster Medical Society Postgraduate Bursary

Applications are invited for the award of a bursary of £3,000 to help support the first year of a Graduate Entry student on a MBChB course at a UK Medical School who has a connection with the Wyre Forest Area of North Worcestershire. See further information attached.

Widening Participation (WP)

If you come from a currently underrepresented background, there might be some funding options available to you. Please have a look at the Widening Participation page that also includes information on other support and opportunities offered.

Cost of Living Support

The central University has produced a website which collates recent initiatives to support students with the current cost of living crisis. Warwick University has put £3.5 million pounds towards cost of living initiatives to support students and staff through this difficult time. This includes a 10% increase in student bursary payments, dedicated warm hubs & access to community spaces. Support with the cost of living website, provides you with other resources you may find useful, such as part-time roles advertised through the University.
