LGBTQ+ Students and Network
There are a number of student-led initiatives for LGBTQ+ students at Warwick Medical School and for the wider University. You can find information about Warwick SU's LGBTQUA+ Students Association on their website, and for information about the WMS LGBTQ+ Network please see below.
WMS LGBTQ+ Network
The WMS LGBTQ+ Network was founded in 2021, off the back of projects aimed at improving LGBTQ+ representation in the WMS curriculum with the Athena Swan student steering group. We have two main aims:
- Firstly, we welcome LGBTQ+ students and allies to assist in activism and education on LGBTQ+ issues, whether it’s consulting on queer representation in CBL or running training for students and staff.
- And, just as importantly, we run social events for LGBTQ+ students so that there is some community for queer future doctors at the medical school.
All LGBTQ+ identities are welcome to get involved and can contact us at wmslgbtqnetwork@warwick.ac.uk or on FacebookLink opens in a new window.
