CLICK ON THE TEDDY TO VISIT OUR PAGES!!!
Teddy Bear Hospital serves to introduce local children aged from 4 to 6 years to the hospital environment and to raise awareness about basic health and hygiene issues. The children are invited to bring a teddy bear (suffering from an illness of the child’s choice) to a simulated hospital ward. Medical students role-play as ‘Teddy Bear Doctors’ and give the bear a consultation to provide basic, non-invasive treatment whilst interacting with the children to alleviate any existing fears of hospital environments and heath care staff. See - 'Today's the day the teddy bears see the doctor' - a news story of a Teddy Bear Hospital day at Frank Whittle Primary School.
