I think the interface between first aiders and health care professionals is an important one in the care of the patient, especially in the pre-hospital care environment and the more we can raise awareness of different roles and resposibilities the better. I think it is particularly valuable when healthcare professionals have a good understanding of the knowledge, skills and capabilities of first aiders. They must enhance working together and a create a working environment in which everyone has respect for each other."
