An introduction to Scientific Computing with Python

The main course starts week commencing 3rd of October 1pm-3pm, and runs for 10 weeks.

The course will be delivered via workshops using github classroom. Weekly materials and exercises will be distributed for participants to work through, and there will be a 2 hour session each week where you can ask queries and receive remote support (if not in Nottingham). If you are registered, but don’t receive contact by the start of the course, please get in touch.

Module Details

This course will give a general introduction to Python programming, useful for all physics postgrads. It is aimed at graduate students requiring credits as part of the MPAGS training scheme. A reasonable level of undergraduate programming experience is assumed.

The course will be formatively assessed by submission of answers to exercises and the development of a working Python program related to your studies.
