SemiconNano

The SemiconNano international conference series now has a history of eleven years and seven meetings. The biannual workshop-style meetings focus on new developments in semiconductor nanostructures from a fundamental perspective.

The first meeting was organised by Giovanni Costantini and me in Bonassola, Italy, 2006. Shiro Tsukamoto and I organised a follow-up meeting in 2009, in Anan, Japan. Since then the meeting has become a biannual fixture, held in odd-numbered years, with meetings held near Linz, Austria (2011), Lake Arrowhead, USA (2013), Hsinchu, Taiwan (2015) and Como, Italy (2017). I've been a programme committee member and/or invited speaker at all the meetings. In 2019 the meeting returned to Japan, and we will convene in the Netherlands for 2021.
