Teaching
I currently teach PX454: Theoretical Particle Physics, Part One: Introduction to Quantum Field Theory (lecture notes|syllabus|) at Warwick. With a keen interest in theories and mathematics, I strive to facilitate a clear explanation of mathematical formalisms, convey complex theoretical notions in a way that is accessible and compelling, and guide students in refining effective problem-solving strategies.
Before joining Warwick, I worked as a tutor at Pembroke College Oxford, mentoring undergraduate physics students. I led engaging tutorials, provided academic support, and fostered an intellectually stimulating atmosphere. The small group-based teaching at Oxford has influenced my approach to education, emphasising the importance of shared exploration and cultivating a passion for academic inquiry.
Later, I moved to my present role as a personal tutor for undergraduate students in Mathematics and Physics at Warwick. In addition to assisting students in mastering challenging concepts, developing critical thinking skills, and navigating their academic journeys, I am dedicated to creating a learning ethos that nurtures curiosity and a deep appreciation for the connections between mathematics and physics, which are hallmarks of the MMathPhys programme at Warwick.
During summer months, I also served as a tutor for post-1st-year graduate students in particle physics at the STFC High Energy Physics Summer School in the years 2021, 2022, and 2023. The exchange of ideas in such a setting is invaluable, making it a rich experience for both tutors and students. For me, it’s always a pleasure to work with aspiring young physicists!
