WIHEA Annual Report

The Annual Report of the Warwick International Higher Education Academy (WIHEA) for 2021/22 features 3 Psychology staff:

 Included is the work on Neurodiversity and the Student Experience Co-led by Dr Jagjeet Nulty-Neilson and Dr Gemma Gray and the associated Neurodiversity Toolkit. 

It celebrates promotions of WIHEA Fellows and Alumni, including Dr Claudie Fox, promoted to Associate Professor (teaching focussed), and includes a Fellows Impact Statement from Jag.

Also featured is Policy on Supporting Students with Disabilities This Learning Circle aims to establish a code of inclusive practice to support disabled students in their academic learning experience and wider student experience during their time at Warwick. This code of practice will be a guidance document for staff relating to inclusive policy, practice, and provision for disabled students, and will thus be created in partnership with key stakeholders such as students, the disability task force, and Warwick Wellbeing. Co-led by Dr Jagjeet Jutley-Neilson (Psychology) and Dr Elena Riva (IATL).

The work of the Tackling Racial Inequality at Warwick (TRIW) team is commended for contributing to making Warwick a more inclusive place for all members of our community by ensuring racial diversity is recognised, understood and valued through the delivery of the anti-racism staff development programme. The programme helps staff to engage with Warwick’s diverse student body, both inside and outside the classroom, our programme ensures staff appreciate and value Warwick’s racial diversity and provides them with the tools to engage with such diversity. The TRIW Team is led by WIHEA Alumus Dr Anil Awesti (CLL), and currently includes WIHEA Alumni Mark Hinton (CLL), Dr Lydia Plath (History), Anne Wilson (Student Opportunity), and WIHEA Fellows Poonam Pedley (Student Opportunity), Lisa Field (Strategy Group), Dr Modupe Jimoh (Engineering), and Dr Jagjeet Jutley-Neilson (Psychology).
