Congratulations to Dr Kristy Themelis, who has been awarded an IASP travel bursary to attend the World Congress on Pain in Toronto this Sept! From the 22 healthcare providers nominated the committee has selected the five finalists of which I am one. It now goes to the public vote for the final winner. Lia Lovecka, a third year student taking PS362 Sleep and Health, has been awarded a URSS bursary. She'll be joining our lab in the summer to work on a project examining sleep in new mothers, under the supervision of Suzanne Aussems, Katrina Tse and Nicole Tang.
