UK Psychology Research Output

UPDATE: These tables were updated on 1 June 2012 using publications from 2008-2012.

This table gives the number of articles published in leading psychology journals by UK universities. For objectivity, leading journals were considered those categorised as A* in the Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) initiative. Psychology was defined by considering those journals in the ERA "1701 Psychology" category. Articles with multiple affiliations are shared over affiliations to ensure that each article receives an overall weight of 1. Article counts were calculated from Web of Science searches for articles published since 2008. This table adjusts for the number of psychologists in each university, as reported in the 2008 UK Research Assessment Exercise.
