Entry Requirements

The minimum entry requirement is a first class or good upper second class honours degree (or equivalent from overseas Universities) in Psychology or containing Psychology as a major component. Successful applicants should be able to demonstrate their interest in, and commitment to, a career in mental healthcare.

We are currently only considering UK/EU students with a Psychology degree that provides Graduate Basis for Chartership (GBC) with the British Psychological Society (BPS). This is because doctoral training in clinical psychology, to which this course is targeted, is available in the UK primarily to UK/EU citizens. We are keeping this policy under review as doctoral training recruitment evolves.

References

You will be required to supply two references. At least one academic and a work reference if you feel that would be more relevant than two academic references. Part A of the University application form requests two academic references but these instructions override that.

Selection

Selection for entry will be a two-stage process. In the first stage, a shortlist of candidates will be drawn based on the application form. These candidates will then be invited to attend an interview at Warwick.

For 24/25 entry, candidates must be available to attend interview between 18th - 22nd March 2024.

Additional requirements

Successful candidates who are offered a place on the course (after the interview selection process), are required to complete an enhanced DBS check through Warwick.
