Module Programme

Students will complete a piece of empirical research as negotiated with the supervisor. The supervisor will advise the student in their completion of a piece of research that is timely, novel and methodologically sound in the agreed area of research (which may be subject to course regulations). Students will review the literature, design the study as a whole, collect data and analyse data as appropriate for the area of research. The total amount of work will be comparable to three Warwick undergraduate third year projects, or a long multi-experiment paper.

Students will write a manuscript of the research: 20,000 words are permitted for the write-up; at least 10,000 words are expected to be needed to describe the amount of work conducted.
