This public engagement event will showcase the various ways that the field of Statistics has contributed to science and society in celebration of the International Year of Statistics 2013.

Details of the Poster Competition for Schools

Wednesday 27th November 2013

3 - 8pm in the Zeeman Building (MS.01 and the 'Street'),
University of Warwick.

Afternoon Session: Statistics in Academic Research

Evening Session: Statistics in Science and Society

Drinks Reception and Schools' Poster Competition Presentation of Prizes

Public Lecture: Statistics, why should they matter?

Bookings will close at 5pm on Sunday 24th November 2013. Please note that booking may close earlier if the venue capacity is reached.

For directions, the Zeeman Building is location No. 38 on the
university campus map.

Schools are warmly invited to participate in this celebration by entering the Poster Competition.

The poster submission deadline is Tuesday 12th November.


School students accompanied by their teachers are also welcome to attend any of the sessions taking place, but may find the evening reception and public lecture of particular interest.

To book places to attend the event please use the online booking form.

Please note that alcohol will be served at the evening reception and we expect school representatives to ensure that students under 18 do not consume alcoholic drinks.
