Tim Hargreaves
I am an ex-Warwick student, having completed my BSc in Mathematics and Statistics in 2021, before undertaking a MASt in Mathematical Statistics at the University of Cambridge. Alongside this, I am a part-time teaching fellow at the Warwick Statistics Department, a role which includes leading first/second year seminar classes, improving student engagement, and developing outreach programs.
My interests mainly lie in computational statistics, with a particular interest in Bayesian computation, Monte Carlo methods, big data methods, and deep learning. I am a proficient programmer in R and Python with moderate experience with C++ and Julia. My work experience includes an intercalated year as a data scientist at AstraZeneca and data science internships at dunnhumby and G-Research.
I am always open to discussions about careers, open source projects and student research, particularly related to statistics, data science, and quantitative finance.
