I did my first degree in China at the Wuhan Institue of Technology, I particularly enjoyed physical chemistry modules on my course and decided to pursue my further career by doing the AS:MIT MSc programme at the University of Warwick. The first half of the year was taught courses and I was particularly excited by electrochemistry module I've chosen to do my research project which emhaphsize on electrochemistry. Not only has this course arouse my interest in electrochemistry, it served as a bridge to my further studies in PhD.

My Research

A family of molecular modifiers were used to tune the work function of indium-tin oxide (ITO) coated glass, which is widely used as the transparent substrate electrode in organic solar cells. These chemically derivatized electrodes where then used to investigate how sensitive device performance was to the work function of the hole-extracting electrode.
