GYASI, Evans Akwasi
I am an enthusiastic, hardworking, and intelligent person, I always focus to excel and achieve excellence, and can easily adapt to new environment or system as well as manage, co-ordinate and supervise even with minimal direction. I have solid analytical skills and exhibit creativity and innovativeness.
I am originally from Ghana in West Africa. I started my Primary and Junior Secondary School at Kwamang Anglican in the Sekeyere-Sentral Distrcit in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. My senior high school was at Toase Secondary School in the Atwima District (Ashanti Region). I proceeded to Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology
where I read Economics and Geography and graduated with Bachelors in Economics
I did my masters at Coventry Univeristy and completed with MSc Oil and Gas Management. I am currently doing my PhD at The University of Warwick with a research focus on"Cost Control in the upstream Oil and Gas Operations". I am Research specialist in cost control, risk management and Economics in the Oil and Gas Industry.
I have worked in the banking industry and have also held other finance related roles in other industries which therefore provides me with experiences and skills for my future career in the Enegy industry. These skills include planning, strategic thinking, analyzing, organizing, management, and communication skills.
I am certified PRINCE2 Project Manager with experience working on commercial and industrial projects. My background expertise in Economics and financial analysis along with my project management skills provide the ability to formulate creative solutions to problems. I’m detail oriented, ensuring all critical informations are well thought-out and analysed when developing, implementing, and leading projects. I strive to not only satisfy my customers or clients, but makes sure projects are also completed within budget and on time.
I enjoy inde working independently and in teams. Working with professionals of other disciplines allows me to broaden my perspective while serving as an expert in my field. I am able to maximize my contribution to projects through development of interpersonal relationships and clear communication.
I enjoy meeting business leadership, team members, and sub-contractors, and helping them to deliver optimal value to customers through targeted training and support systems. My interpersonal acumen makes me a valuable liaison with clients, government and local agencies, and subcontractors. I am an effective leader, recruiting the right talent, and ensuring that teams and subcontractors have the information they need to be successful.
Looking into the future, I want to carve a niche market for myself with my skills,training and expertise in cost control in the oil and gas industry.
