Michael Hayman MBE DL: Seven Hills

Michael is an entrepreneur, broadcaster and author. He co-founded the campaigns firm Seven Hills & co-authored Mission (Penguin). He is Chairman of Entrepreneurs at the private bank and wealth manager Coutts.

Michael is Honorary Professor of the Purpose Economy at the University of London where he also holds an Honorary Doctorate. He is also an Honorary Fellow in Entrepreneurship at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School and is an advisory board member of the School of Business & Management, Queen Mary University of London.

Michael hosts the Change Makers podcast and the TV show Capital Conversation and is an experienced event host. He has interviewed leaders from business, sports, politics the arts and entertainment. Michael is a columnist for CityAM, Country and Town House, and capital markets columnist for the Yorkshire Post.

He co-founded the national campaign for early-stage enterprise, StartUp Britain, is an advisory board member of the National Business Awards and serves on the Advisory Council of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Michael was awarded an MBE for services to enterprise promotion, entrepreneurship and education, is a Deputy Lieutenant for Surrey and is a Freeman of the City of London.

Steve Barbour: Composite Braiding Ltd

Steve Barbour is the MD and founder of award-winning Composite Braiding Ltd (CBL) and has been involved in the composites industry for over 17 years. The company was established to produce higher volume, lower cost advanced composite structural components that have excellent sustainability credentials.

Prior to CBL, Steve, as MD and General Manager, successfully turned around 4 composite manufacturing businesses: three in the UK; one in S.Africa.

Before entering the composites industry, Steve was at Rolls-Royce plc for almost 19 years. His last two jobs were Customer Business Director and Head of Marketing.

Steve Foxley: AMRC

Steve leads the AMRC Management Board, developing and strengthening relationships with new and existing industrial partners; engaging with government to identify opportunities for further strategic development; and establishing relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the continued development and investment in the Sheffield City Region and the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District.

Prior to joining the AMRC, Steve was a member of the Executive Management Board of Siemens plc and led the Siemens Smart Infrastructure business - an exciting growth area within the UK & Ireland markets. Previously he was the Director of Industry Services for Siemens, a leading supplier of services for automation and drive technologies to industrial customers across the UK and Ireland.

He is passionate about materials and supports a number of UK wide initiatives in support of materials for Manufacturing including being a member of the Advisory Panel for the Graphene Engineering and Innovation Centre in Manchester. Steve is married with two sons and lives in Cheshire.

Roger Morton: European Metals Recycling

Roger is a chemical engineer. He has worked in the recycling sector for the past 19 years. He co-founded Axion Consulting and Axion Polymers in 2001. Over the 20 years prior to forming Axion he held general management positions in chemicals, textiles and building materials.

Axion was at the forefront of development of novel treatment processes for non-metallic materials, leading to the establishment of Axion’s advanced ELV recycling plants at Salford (2006) and Trafford Park (2011).

Roger left Axion in mid 2019. He joined European Metal Recycling in March 2020 as Managing Director for Technology and Innovation.

Mark Yeeles is Vice President of Industrial Automation UK & Ireland at Schneider Electric, the global leader in energy management and automation. He has over 25 years of experience in the industry driving innovation in manufacturing and fuelling fast-paced yet sustainable growth.

In the midst of a period of intense change following COVID-19, the importance of remote management, advanced robotics, and smart factory solutions has never been higher. With a specific segment focus on the CPG, food and beverage, and water utilities markets, Mark’s leadership role helps partners and clients meet a new set of challenges in todays sustainable world.
