Key roles and responsibilities
Leading the delivery of projects, in collaboration with industrial partners, on topics such as sensor development and integration (such as LiDAR, RADAR, and cameras), communications technology, testing, verification and validation, user-acceptance, user centred design, applied computer science and electronic engineering.
A large proportion of my projects involve the 3xD simulator, with one of my key objectives being to support its ongoing development. To ensure we can verify and validate future vehicle technologies reliably, my role has a particular emphasis on increasing the realism of the simulation environment when compared to the physical world.
Where did you work prior to WMG?
I was a contractor working in JLR in vehicle network communications and electrical and electronic systems architecture. Tasks included the design, test and integration of new and electrical and electronic features and functions while maximising cross car line compatibility.
What first attracted you to WMG?
WMG has long been a place I have strived to work at. It is place where significant and high impact academic research is carried out with leading industry partners across the world. This results in the development of novel solutions and technologies that can be expedited in to the market.
