Dyson Engineering Degree

The Dyson Institute is different

The Dyson Institute is unique. You work in Dyson’s Global Engineering team from the start. You’re responsible for live projects while you study for a Bachelor of Engineering degree – and you’ll be earning a competitive salary.

The small and close-knit cohort is part of the 3,500-strong team at Dyson’s technology campus in Wiltshire.

Work while studying for a degree

At the Dyson Institute, you’re an engineer from day one. For three days a week, you learn through hands-on experience, alongside a team of Dyson technology experts. You'll be working in a global business, playing a vital role in the development of a product.

The other two days are dedicated to your studies. The degree – developed by Dyson engineers and academics at WMG – is spread over four years. In the first two, you study engineering modules across multiple functions and disciplines. In years three and four, you specialise in mechanical engineering, electronics, or a combination of both.

Teaching will predominantly be given on the Dyson campus by WMG tutors, with support from Dyson engineers. You will also benefit from a bespoke virtual learning environment, so you can track your progress, access course materials, receive support from WMG tutors and easily submit coursework.

In addition to earning a salary throughout the course, Dyson will pay your tuition fees – so you could graduate debt-free.

Have you got what it takes?

You will need at least AAB at A Level (or equivalent), including an A grade in mathematics and one other science, technology or engineering-related subject.
