Information for Apprentices

Degree Apprenticeships are a new type of study programme. These programmes are being developed by employers, universities, and professional bodies working in partnership. They combine working with studying part-time at a university. Apprentices are employed throughout the programme, and spend part of their time at university and the rest with their employer. Put simply a Degree Apprenticeship is a job with education.

Most of your time is spent at work – taking on live projects, getting hands on with real challenges and working alongside industry experts. The remaining time, at least 20%, you will be studying for a recognised qualification, at a university or college.

At WMG we have worked with leading employers to develop industry-relevant programmes and have delivered these to over 500 students studying against an undergraduate Degree Apprenticeship standard.

The programmes we have developed with these companies offer you high-quality education and ensure that you get the right knowledge and skills to apply directly to your job. We can offer you innovative thinking, expert insights and
engaging learning experiences. By the end of your apprenticeship you will have a degree and should have gained the right skills, knowledge and behaviours that employers want.
