Empower

(30 credits)

• Strategic Thinking and Supply Chain:Link opens in a new window You will develop your capabilities to think and act strategically, so that you can leverage the supply chain to support the business strategy and deliver sustained competitive advantage.
• Personal Leadership and Influencing Change:Link opens in a new window You will develop skills in learning to learn, promoting self-responsibility and to specifically address behavioural issues that limit individual achievement.

Improve

(50 credits)

• Supply Chain Fundamentals:Link opens in a new window You will explore the basic concept of what a supply chain is and the underpinning building blocks of the supply chain; planning, manufacturing, procurement, logistics and circular economy. Please note, the Supply Chain Fundamentals module is a prerequisite for the Supply Chain Design module (below).
• Performance Management for Success:Link opens in a new window You will critically evaluate performance measurement in relation to the delivery of customer and shareholder value, aligning with corporate accountability and compliance management.
• Supply Chain Design:Link opens in a new window Building upon the concepts introduced in the Supply Chain Fundamentals module, you will learn about a coherent framework for end-to-end supply chain design from strategic, network and operating model perspectives. Please note, the Supply Chain Design module is a prerequisite for the Supply Chain Transformation module (below).

Transform

(40 credits)

• Value Creation Through Innovation:Link opens in a new window We will introduce you to a variety of concepts, models and frameworks that will help you to understand the nature of creativity and innovation, to enable you and your team to be innovative.
• Supply Chain Transformation:Link opens in a new window We will share a framework with supporting models, tools and examples to enable you to consider transformative approaches to business models and supply chain design.

MSc Project Dissertation:Link opens in a new window To gain your MSc you need to complete a Company Based Project. This will focus on a live issue within your organisation which you will explore, together with an academic supervisor from WMG, over a 12 month period. The project will culminate in the writing of a dissertation, which will count toward 1/3 of the credit of your degree.

Module availability

Module availability and staffing may change year on year depending on availability and other operational factors. We make no guarantee that any modules will be offered in a particular year, or that they will necessarily be taught by the staff listed on the module pages.

Teaching and learning

There are seven core modules and if you are completing the MSc there is a company-based project dissertation in the area of supply chain leadership.

In addition to the assessed modules, there will be a study skills (non-assessed) event delivered at the start of the course to set the context, introduce key study skills and enable you to meet your fellow cohort and start to build your network.

Modules are usually delivered in a week-long block format which normally comprise of lectures, seminars, and undertaking group tasks based on real scenarios. The course will use various traditional and innovative teaching methods, predominantly focused on blended learning practices. Some modules will be delivered fully online, and other modules will include industry visits, real-life projects, virtual clinics and the use of multimedia resources. Our blended learning is a combination of face-to-face and online delivery and is aimed at offering flexibility and networking opportunities for work-based learners. We will be able to give you the schedule in advance so you can plan your time out of the office.

We use the Kirkpatrick model (1996), which is globally recognised as an excellent tool for evaluating the effectiveness of any training. This ensures the course we deliver to you has a direct impact.

We will use a range of assessment methods that are appropriate to the topics being taught. Of course, you will need to undertake reading and assignments, but these assignments are usually related to your workplace and help you to apply what you have learnt. Students often find that the assignments provide valuable evidence of continuing professional development, demonstrate to their organisations their developing knowledge, and often benefit the company by providing an analysis of an area of operations.

Fees

For September 2025, qualification costs if paid in full are:

• Postgraduate Diploma: £20,180
• Master’s Degree: £25,890

Annual or quarterly payment options are available. A full quote will be provided at point of enquiry.

A residential fee is also available on request as we have bed and breakfast facilities on campus via Warwick Conferences.

Fees can be paid in a single instalment, three annual instalments or 12 quarterly instalments.

For the latter two options a formal quote will be provided detailing the payment schedule and the amount to be collected at each payment point.

Typically, most students are sponsored by their employer, but self-funding is also an option. We highly recommend that students are in employment whilst taking the course due to the nature of the work-based learning.

Entry requirements

The course is designed for those in employment as you will need to apply your studies directly to the work environment throughout the programme.
We recommend you have at least three years of appropriate professional experience and that you possess the equivalent of a UK second-class
honours degree.

The course is also open to talented people without a first degree, who have relevant work-experience, have taken a less-traditional route in their career and who will have shown great potential in the business. Please contact us to discuss.Link opens in a new window
