Industrial Engineering (IE)
Introduction
Continuous improvement requires the questioning of all working methods. Costing and planning functions demand improved data and information to reduce costs and increase productivity. The I.E. discipline offers support and powerful techniques to achieve these requirements.
Objectives: On completion, the participant will be able to:

Understand the role of IE in setting standards, measuring performance, improving methods and optimising performance.

Use an IE approach to the basic manufacturing tasks of method improvement, to know where and when they are useful, and how they can improve manufacturing efficiency and effectiveness.
