Mechatronics and Systems Control

This module addresses fundamental techniques and concepts of electro-mechanical systems that dominate in industrial manufacturing.

Essential features of mechatronics-based embedded systems, and fundamental systems control principles applied in electrical and electronic engineering, will be delivered with emphasis on how aspects of maths and mechatronic systems form technological engineering.

The concepts of automatic and automotive management systems, used in intelligent process control, will be described. Examples will be taken from a number of system-oriented disciplines including the automotive, railway, aerospace and manufacturing sectors.
