Electrical and Electronic Principles is designed to provide the fundamental knowledge in electrical and electronic engineering for modern industrial engineers.

It covers a wide range of topics around electrical circuits, devices and systems. The module delivers the fundamental concepts of electrical circuits and devices in order to demonstrate how maths and electrical principles interconnect within manufacturing systems to form technological engineering.


Learning Outcomes

By the end of the module the student should be able to:

  • Show an understanding of fundamental electrical principles
  • Demonstrate the ability to analyse electrical and electronic circuits
  • Apply mathematical skills to solve electrical circuits
  • Undertake practical and numerical work and communicate results
