Felipe Cicaroni Fernandes

Welcome!

Background:

• BSc in Chemistry from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil, in 2012, where I worked as undergraduate research in solar cells applying conductive polymers and ruthenium complexes as part of the Laboratório de Nanotecnologia e Energia Solar (LNES) for 2 years.
• MSc in Physical Chemistry from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil, in 2014 with a dissertation in the area of polyamide-6 composites reinforced with vegetable fibres.
• Currently, I’m a 2nd year PhD student (MPhil/PhD) student in Engineering at University of Warwick, United Kingdom, as part of the Sustainable Materials and Manufacturing Group in the Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG). My PhD studies aim alternative sources for green composites structures based on vegetable oils.

Projects:

Investigation of alternative and eco-friendly sources for green composites structures based on epoxidized resins from chemically modified vegetable oils.
