Engineering companies need to provide not only superior products but also superior services to be sustainable businesses in the long-term. There is a real demand for graduates who can understand the technical engineering as well as the wider aspects of strategic business management and entrepreneurship to provide an interface between such diverse roles as design, manufacturing, marketing, contract management and supply chain management.
This degree is ideal if you want to study engineering, but also want to pursue alternatives to becoming a chartered engineer. For example joining a company that provides an engineering service, such as maintenance or logistics services, or undertaking consultancy roles.
Like all our engineering undergraduates, you will begin by studying more general engineering concepts into your second year. But then, in the third year, you remain within Engineering to take half your modules from WMG/Engineering and half from Warwick Business School. A BEng is awarded to reflect the greater emphasis on engineering.
