Scholarships available for Women in Engineering
WMG's Women in Engineering Scholarship
This opportunity is open to all women who are pursuing one of our three, eligible full-time Master's programmes and starting studies in September 2019.
All women who are accepted onto one of the three MSc courses below will be offered a scholarship of a minimum 10% tuition fee discount. Higher awards may be given based on candidates' academic and professional achievements.
No separate application is necessary – candidates will be considered at the time of course application.
Our MSc course application deadline is 31st July 2019. However, please note that early application is advised, as courses may close earlier than this date if they reach capacity.

British Council India: Scholarships for Women in STEM
The British Council has launched its 70th Anniversary Scholarship programme for Indian Women to puruse a Masters's programme in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) in the UK.
This scholarship programme, valued at GBP 1 million, will fund the full tuition for 70 Indian women to study a Master's programme in STEM for the academic year 2019-20, and supports the Indian Prime Minister Modi's shift to women-led development and also supports its objectives of:
- Sustainable Development Goal to achieve gender equality and empower women and girls
- Women who are likely to become leaders in their fields over the next twenty years
The WMG department will be nominating up to 5 Indian Women for this award who have secured a place on one of the following WMG Masters' courses:
- MSc Sustainable Automotive Engineering
- MSc Smart, Connected and Autonomous Vehicles
- MSc Manufacturing Systems Engineering and Management
- MSc Cyber Security Engineering
- MSc International Technology Management
- MSc Engineering Business Management
In order for us to meet the nomination deadline in early January, interested candidates should apply as soon as possible. We will not be able to nominate candidates who apply after 7th January 2019.
