Candidates who have initial registration for the Postgraduate Diploma should be aware that they will need to meet all the criteria for the MSc Regulations should they wish to be considered for upgrading of registration to MSc.

Upgrading of registration from Postgraduate Diploma to MSc is NOT automatically guaranteed (although the consideration process is automatic).

Students will be monitored during the course and upgrading can take place at any time after the first half of the year, providing:

1. Post Module Assignments are submitted in a timely manner;
2. Module Assignment performance is a comfortable MSc standard (i.e. >=55% across at least 3 assignments) AND
3. A highly satisfactory report from the project supervisor is received.

It is unlikely that these three criteria will be met before 6 months into a full-time course or one year into a part-time course.
