INTRODUCTION

This module covers the principles, techniques, planning and control of reliability and maintenance in relation to products, processes and manufacturing systems.


OBJECTIVES

On completion, participants will be able to:

Understand the basic concepts of reliability and apply them to mechanical, electronic and software systems.

Understand the principles, content & structure of a reliability programme, and participate in the development and conduct of such a programme.

Plan the maintenance of a product, process or manufacturing system with regard to safety, operational effectiveness, life cycle cost efficiency and management organisation.
