Study Skills

Introduction

The Study Skills course is designed to introduce students to the Warwick learning style: the interactive style of study used extensively throughout the programme, the skills which students will need to develop in order to maximise learning and personal development, and some general guidelines with regard to what is expected of our students and the pitfalls to avoid. As newcomers to WMG and the University of Warwick, the course will also provide important guidance on how to search for appropriate information and data for both assignment work and the project dissertation, using a variety of sources of public information, both through the University's library and elsewhere. The course will also provide important guidance on how to tackle post-module assignments, both in terms of the nature of the assignment questions which can be expected, and general advice with regard to the standard of work required. We hope that you enjoy your time with us and that you will be successful in your studies!
