SWARM Demonstration
Thursday 30th January | 09.00 - 12.00
National Automotive Innovation Centre (NAIC), University of Warwick
Aurrigo, WMG and Milton Keynes Council are delighted to invite you to the public demonstration of driverless pods platooning on the University of Warwick campus.
Join us on the day and take part in a pod ride! The day will include networking, presentations, a public demonstration of driverless pods platooning together, and automated pod rides on campus.

This unique event offers inspiring talks and insights into a ground-breaking new project, SWARM (Self-organising Wide area Autonomous vehicle Real time Marshalling). The SWARM study investigated the potential of using swarm intelligence (seen in colonies of bees and ants) to manage fleets of driverless pods.
The SWARM concept is based on Swarm Intelligence - what bees or ants do when part of a colony - to enable real-time, collaborative supervision of pods where individual pods are locally supervised, not only by cameras or humans, but by neighbouring pods in the Swarm colony. This will maintain safety and make autonomous urban transport more efficient, working as part of an existing city transport system.
