She has built collaborative links between industry and the research community - including direct research experience as an interdisciplinary Research Fellow at the University of Edinburgh.
Corrina is engaged with policy-makers and Government departments, as well as Research Councils, to encourage long-term investment in science and innovation. She is experienced in developing strategies for research growth and diversification, as well as proposals bringing together multi-disciplinary expertise in WMG and across the University.
Corrina provides expertise and is a lead on the General Engineering REF submission in the department, providing advice and training on impact and reviews of outputs for all research active staff.
As a keen STEM Ambassador, over 8 years Corrina has led various activities to inspire the next generation of scientists, particularly young females, to address the gender gap in science-based fields. She has worked with a number of organisations including the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) to deliver engaging activities to young people to explore the application of chemical sciences in the real world.
