To investigate the feasibility and benefits of a coordinated range of complementary models to answer a diverse range of energy storage-related questions.

Research challenge

Accurately predicting the performance of batteries is difficult since they are governed by complex electrochemical interactions. Models are required at a range of different fidelities in order to answer a wide range of questions. This leads to a number of complementary models suitable for a wide range of scenarios

Project outcomes

A validated suite of models allowing prediction of battery performance across a wide range of conditions and applications
